Welcome, welcome back. This is the Free Agent Fans podcast, and doing this today on a Sunday, which I used to call these solo Sundays, and hoping I would do my Sunday rant, but not doing that today. I am but actually gonna play something different after this. So that's why you don't hear you didn't hear the intro music in the beginning of this. It'll come after this, after I talk about this. I finally figured out what the deal is with our sound quality at times. It's mostly the space that I'm using to podcast in. And the mics. Really big open room, single mic. Does a decent job, but when we get going or someone talks at the same time, or Big Dog gets loud, he got that real high-pitched voice when he gets animated. We start to get static. So I'm gonna do better to control that in the future until I get everything right the way I want it. So currently working on my basement, and I'm gonna have a bedroom down there where I will podcast from. Sound sounds really good. I got a lot of the framing done. It's not complete yet, but sounds really good when I'm in there. And I can tell once I get the door and all that, get it closed, get everything set up with monitors and all that, it's gonna be much better quality sound. And I'm also gonna get a go back to a mixer when I first started. I started with a mixer and I had some, I think I moved it and sound quality got a little, the some of the mics started getting low and all that. So I'm gonna start over with a different mixer. I think I'm gonna need, I think the one I had was only for four mics, maybe. But I need something for five because I'm gonna get everybody their own individual mic. And I may I'm probably gonna add an extra one if we start having guests, so it'll probably be six. Also, once the room is up and running, we will be videoing and get everything, start putting more on YouTube with video so you guys can see who's podcasting, basically. It may give you more to respond to. You can see how we look, but now we got to start looking better when we own, because I know sometimes when uh we podcast at my house, because we do travel, like I'll go to some of the other fellas' houses, so they won't always have to come to mine. And, you know, sometimes I just throw on some jogging pans when I'm in the crib and that's it. But yeah, so we're gonna do that in the near, near future. I'm trying to have all this done. Ugh, by summer. It ain't it ain't cheap though. So if you want to send donations, uh reach out on the website, the freeagentfans.com, and send a donation to get that room finished. But it's all part of my, I'm getting my basement finished. So it's all a part of that. But hey, I'll turn out. Maybe I should start a GoFundMe. But anyway, yeah, so coming soon, coming soon. We've been talking about it for years, and kind of glad we never did start doing the videoing because the sound quality would have been the same because of the single mic that I was using and all that good stuff. Now, this mic, it's the same. I have two different single mics, and I think they do decent work when it's one or two people, but when it's more of us in such a big open space, because right now I'm doing this one from my home office, and it's just me. So it probably a little bit better than what you guys are used to hearing. And when we have everybody here, and it's just such an open space with making the sound even worse. So I'm gonna fix that. In the meantime, until I get that all together, I'm gonna have to have run some controls and have us not talking over each other. So I'll do my best to keep all that static out because I tried to clean up the ones that had the static in it, and I could not get those clean without stripping that whole part out, then it would have taken away from the content. I know you probably didn't get the whole context or content of it anyway. So it's kind of like what difference would it have made? But still, I feel like it just would have been, you know, probably would have been even worse. Because if I would have said I cleaned it up and then you guys heard and there's chunks missing, people would have been more frustrated than when it was static and they was trying to make out what people were saying. So that's that. And, you know, this is just it's fun for me. Hobby, I don't know. I hope it's fun for the fellas. But you know, we we ain't that level yet where we're getting paid, but hey, who knows? Who knows what may happen? Quality gets better, you know, the topics. I think I'm gonna start uh because we don't all live together and we're not around, you know, we have to plan these things because I think only one of us is retired. So shout out to Boss G. But the rest of us, we got work schedules, you know, things that we have to navigate around. So when we get together, we try to do like two or three. But if the quality is better, then that'll help. And we try to do current events, so what we'll probably start doing moving forward is we'll do one that's that's a hot topic right in the moment, that current event, and then we'll do a couple with our with our topics, stuff that we decide we want to talk about, and I'll try to do more solo Sundays on current events and just get those out there so it'll always be some content. I don't know when I'm gonna start back officially posting them on Sundays and calling them solo Sundays because this is not gonna post till Monday like the free agent fans. So, how we had this structure before, I did my solo Sundays on Sunday, posted Free Agent Fan podcast on Monday, and then we did the gut check, which is give us the truth, G-U-T-T, gut check Fridays, and I would post those on Friday. So you would hear something Friday, Sunday, and Monday. But I plan on starting back my solo Sunday sooner than later. Gut checks. Hopefully, we can start back this month or next month. We'll see. I have to talk to Big Dog. That was a me uh me and Big Dog thing there, gut checks, but we'll see. We we would try we were trying to get guests and stuff on for the gut checks, so we'll see how that goes. But moving on, yeah, it's just been a casual week for me. I had a really good week. Proud dad. Got my my my son got hired where I work at, and he's doing IT work like his dad. So that made me really, really happy. Gave me something to be proud of. My daughter's in college learning how to make movies and doing her passion. So happy about that too. So I hope you guys are maintaining and things are happy for you. I don't really, I don't really have a topic before I post. So I'll tell you what I'm going to post after I do this. So, you know, I'm just giving a little time. It's a real short. It's a real short. So what I usually do after some of our podcasts, the real conversations hit after we were done podcasts. The podcast is structured, but yeah, we are a little loose with our lips. You know, we we don't lie, we don't hold back, but we really go in. After I stop taping, and we sometimes we will continue a discussion, and some really good stuff come out that didn't come out in the podcast. So one day I just started recording again, and I call it the after talks. So that's what I'm gonna run after I get through talking here. I'm gonna run one of our after talks, and I think the original podcast was about Trump and him wanting to be a king and all that. And it's only about maybe two minutes, if that, where we were just going in. I thought it was pretty decent, stuff that just didn't get into the podcast. Yeah, I could have extended the podcast, but we had already stopped it. And I was just like, oh, let me just keep recording because I missed several of our podcasts. We would talk afterwards, and I missed some really good stuff. I'm like, man, you should have said that in the podcast, one of those type of moments. So started recording now. Some of them I had to delete because the fellas like, yeah, no, don't play that one, you know. And to the uh fellas' wives who was listening, it's not, it wasn't anything bad like that. It was just stuff that we didn't want to get out because we we sometimes our mouths can get really profane. You if you listen to the podcast, you'll know that. But you know, some of it I was just like, ah nah, we don't want to post that. It's it's just a little too much because we be going and sometimes we be several shots in when it comes to alcohol, because we do, we do take some shots, we eat, you know, and we chill. And speaking of shots, I I had a for the first time I bought some, what was this called? It's bourbon, uh, heaven, Heaven's Door. Shout out to them. I'm not getting paid for endorsing them, but this was probably probably the like my favorite is American honey. Like I love the American honey. Um now I'm not a huge drinker, and I may drink like like I drink when we podcast, which is we the fellas we get together like once a month and we try to nail out three podcasts so we'll have material. But yeah, I so I'm definitely drinking at least once a month. Sometimes I used to, I would have a drink while I was doing these the solo Sundays, and I don't think we drank much during the uh gut checks. Uh myself and Big Dog, we maybe every now and then, but you know, uh so I'm not a real big drinker. Sometimes I only my only drinks will come when I podcast that once a month. So, and plus now I'm on, get this, guys. I'm a health nut, right? So I go work out, I run, I do all that good stuff. And but I did, I started falling off the rails, and I eat right. You know, at one point we was almost vegans. You know, my wife was trying to get me to be a vegan, so we were kind of vegetarians, but then we, you know, I couldn't give up fish and chicken. I'm like, man, come on, I can't just eat be eating veggie burgers all the time. So, but even though they're delicious, if you make them right. So what we did, I started eating off the rails. You know, somewhere I fell off the wagon, I started eating a lot of Chick-fil-A and all kinds of stuff that wasn't good for me, and went to my doctor earlier this year and said I had high high cholesterol, the bad kind. So I had to start taking this pill, a statin, that also uses the liver to process. So I haven't really been drinking because I'm not trying to tear up my liver because we only got one of those in the body. And so I haven't really been partaking of the alcohol. Now, I know I read the bottle, whatever they say, you know, like one or whatever, one alcoholic beverage a day. So I wasn't even doing that anyway. So I think I'll be fine, but you know, I I I f I freak out a little bit, and so, you know, I cut it all out like, okay, so while I'm on this pill, I ain't I'm not drinking, but only when the we do the podcast with the fellas. So that's that. Uh but outside of that, you know, so I felt kind of like, man, I'm the health guy, you know, and here I am with high cholesterol. But I did, I fell off the rails and started. I was eating a lot of bad stuff. So gotta get that back in check. And I was missing gym days and all that, and I don't know what happened. And I had a lot of stress, so I looked that Google that up too, and stress causes it. You know, I was getting a lot of stress with my mom. If you listen to the Mother's Day podcast, it's out there, you can go back and listen to it about dementia and what my mom's going through, which really hurts, and there's a lot of stress, you know, seeing what my oldest sister is going through because she's her caretaker mainly, and you know, just trying to be there and help out. I mean, it's just it's just hard. But yeah, outside of that, you know, had all that going on, so I gotta try to reduce the stress and you know, make sure I just get myself back healthy for the most part. And so that's where we're at. I don't like taking pills, but I'm on that. And then I hurt my shoulder, so I can't go lift weights. I think I got a rotator, it's either from lifting weights or lifting my mom to uh help her get up and go to the bathroom and all that. And we really didn't have to because she really knows how, but you know, with that with that disease, sometimes she's stubborn, and we have to get her up because otherwise she'll sit there and you know, soiled and not get up. And it can cause UTIs and infections and whatnot. But I think we finally we got her into an adult daycare, so she's really likes that. And uh, I spent all day with her yesterday, and I can definitely notice the difference in her, I guess I would say her attitude, demeanor, you know, is not so much depression anymore because she's getting out of the house at least three days a week. The daycare picks her up and drops her off, and she goes there and she has activities and things like that. So, and we told her that, hey, if you don't go to the bathroom when they ask you to, her doctor reached out and was like, hey, you know, Miss Griffin, you can get a UTI and you don't want that. So I think that kind of stuck in her head, and she's like, Okay. So now she's for the most part, I believe she's going to the bathroom for them when they do they random or whatever. I think they got routine bathroom breaks to make sure nobody soils themselves or whatever. So hopefully that all works out, but it's expensive. So if you want to donate for that too, because I mean, like, it's hard on my sister who's her caregiver with, you know, us trying to all of us trying to split that cost, and it's four of us. So, you know, I have I have six siblings, but four of us are from my mom. So the four of us is hard. Well, I have five siblings. I'm I'm the sixth, but it's hard trying to find the money for that, you know, with all of our other bills. And I won't get into some of the bills I have over here, but yeah. And maybe I should have held off on that basement, but anyway, it's already started, guys. I can't pull back. I'll set up the GoFundMe and let you guys help either find my mom's daycare or the basement. But I'm laughing because I'm not really serious. I'm not gonna start a GoFundMe because I don't believe in asking people for stuff like that. Um, so but anyway, I'll figure it out. So that's what I'm about to post. So you won't hear, you didn't hear any music at the beginning or intro music, but you will hear it after this. So I'm just gonna kind of piece them together once I end talking here. You guys can hear that aftertake where we were discussing, finishing up a discussion on Trump want to be king and his little manifesto. I forget what that thing called was called that whole book of what he was supposed to be doing. And you'll hear in the after talk, we couldn't remember what it was called then either. I guess I could have Googled it just now, but you know, you guys know y'all smart. So you know what it is, you know what I'm talking about. But stay tuned, and there will be uh more. I don't know. I I want to try to get to the point to where at the end of future podcasts, we if it's a set topic, I can tell you guys what what's coming up for that month. But there's also going to be some current events, so I can't really, you know, can't really do that with too much accuracy. So we'll figure out how that goes. But definitely check the website. And they was like, if y'all, if y'all, if you overweight, yeah, you know what I'm saying? I'm saying to myself, this is coming from a motherfucker who ain't never fought. And you telling them because they done put on some weight that you motherfuckers are out of shape. Yeah, they're not even in the front line. And you trying to tell me that you ain't even so my body come back, you're motherfucking age.

SPEAKER_00Yeah. What is it? No kingdom. No king. Yeah, yeah. I saw that. I saw the moment overpasses when I was driving uh earlier this week that were driving.
SPEAKER_01I mean, Trump, but this whole dictatorship, man, is fucking me up, bro. Like, and it's so crazy that you know, a person can put out this memo. What was that, 25 with the calling? The little memo that came out before he became president, the 25, whatever type of thing that he had released, or I don't know what the fuck it was, but you could put out this little manifesto. That's what it was. It's like a little manifesto that was supposed to come out about what Trump is supposed to be doing when he gets into office. And if he ain't fulfilling some of this shit, it's crazy. Thank you, Joe. Yeah, yeah. Because he's fulfilling damn near what he said he's gonna do when he came in. He's going after every fucking body that had anything to say about it, and it's okay. And he keeps talking about he's stop seven wars.
