Welcome back in my two and edition of the FreeH Bands Podcast. It's your boy Mike Jr. coming at you, and today I am recording this on Super Bowl Sunday. It is Super Bowl Sunday. This is when I usually do my solo Sundays and flying solo today, but don't really have a whole lot that I was going to talk about because I can't really talk about the Super Bowl, the actual game of it all, because I am not a big Super Bowl, I mean, football fan like that anymore. I do cheer for the whatever team I feel like it. Last year I was cheering for the Jacksonville Jaguars. They didn't make it to the Super Bowl. First round the playoffs got dumped. But we got the New England, New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, two teams that I can't stand. But one of the free agent fan members, uh Boss G, he's a Seahawks fan and he is at the game, guys. He paid for the tickets. Him and his wife, they are enjoying the Super Bowl, front row seats, seats in the 100s or something. So shout out to them. Congratulations. I guess I will hope for a Seahawks win because I think I hate the Patriots more than I do the Seahawks. Because the Patriots cheated my St. Louis Rams out of a Super Bowl video in their practices when they were the greatest show on turf. So it is what it is. But I would say I'm watching it for the commercials. You know, that's my whole thing with the Super Bowl. Watch it for the commercials. I like to see what's funny, what's new, and sometimes it's some uh movie, you know, previews come out during the uh Super Bowl for the commercial. So and I'm hoping, I heard they put the uh Blade movie on Squash with Mahershula Ali. I hope I pronounced that right. But very talented actor. I liked them in uh Lou Cage, and you know, just a talented actor. And I think he would have done a great job as Blade. So I hope they didn't ask that. But I'm hearing through the rumor meal that they did the revamp of Blade, and he would probably be the only person I would want to see doing that outside of right now, anyway. I'm sure somebody else come along years from now. But right now, if it ain't Wesley, I think this dude would have done, I think Maherschlot would have done a really good job with it. But the other reason I am going to tune in to the Super Bowl is the halftime show. Bad Bunny. Yes, I gotta see Bad Bunny. And I'm not just doing it for the controversy around it. I am also, I'm actually watching it because I'm a Bad Bunny fan. Yeah, I don't speak fluent Spanish yet, but I am a fan of Bad Bunny. I like his music, and I like other Hispanic musicians, talent. There's some really good music all around, but I'm all over the board when it comes to music. I like country, rap, RB, pop, all of it. You know, Prince is my favorite, you know, but I had to watch this because of the halftime show. Because I've been hearing that the MAGA elites are doing their own halftime show. Because they want people to watch, oh, why is it a halftime show in Spanish and blah, blah, blah, and all of this. So I'm making sure I watch the uh halftime show so Bad Bunny can get them ratings as well. Not just because I'm a fan, but also because I want to piss off MAGA. And, you know, because just because I do. So that's what I'll be doing. That's what I'll be watching the game for. And low-key, I will hope for a Seahawks win. I don't really like them, but I will root for them because Boss G is a fan and I hate the Patriots more. So that's what's on my agenda for today. Outside of doing this podcast, now, I probably won't post this until a week later. So we'll already know who won, and you're probably asking, well, why would you do that? Because I can, but no, I'm doing that because I got another one. I got a hot one that I want to post uh tomorrow that I want to get out. But I like to uh podcast every Sunday my solo Sundays or Sunday rant or whatever I call it. You know, it's just off the cuff, just things that is on my mind, popping up on my mind. And so speaking of MAGA, I wanted to see how well the uh Melania Trump movie did. And according to the numbers, uh let's see, 7 million say nonfictional film grossed over$7 million in its first weekend, ran roughly about$11.8 million domestically by its second weekend. So$11.8 million total by the second weekend. So that's it. Ah, I love it, I love it, I love it. So I'm reading, I just Googled it. How well did the how did the Melania Trump movie do? And this is what I get. It had a$40 million budget, and despite the massive marketing campaign, and they thought that it initially it was gonna rely on heavily, have rely heavily on its audience support from women over 55 in the South U.S. But it doesn't look like it's made that 40 million back yet. So it looks like he may have lost money. Much like mo most of Trump's ventures, he lose money except for presidency. So he should probably stop trying to do all the other. But I'm pretty I'm pretty sure he'll figure out a way to lose money here, too. Sadly, but nobody wants to see that. I mean, I saw the previews and I wasn't even in the least bit curious to hear anything about her because in my mind she's just a dirtbag who married a dirtbag. So what do I need to watch a movie about a dirbag for? So that's that's my two cents on that. But it's interesting to see that it didn't do as well as they probably thought it was gonna do. You know, it's got an 8% from critics and 99% from audience. I guess the people that watched it, well, of course, they they all MAGA, but critics apparently thought it sucked. So that's enough for me. But anyway, so we got that. So moving on, in other news, I have been I watched, what is the show? I'm gonna try to get the name right. It's Abby Phillips. She shout out to Abby Phillips, she does a great show on uh CNN, and I absolutely love her show, Abby Phillips. Okay, so I'm putting an S on it, it ain't no S. Abby Phillips is her name. She's an American news anchor, and I watch her show. Uh what time does it come on? It comes on Central Time, I think nine o'clock. Nine o'clock. Central time. And really good show. I was watching it the other day. And what they have on. I can't remember the guest, though. Anyway, there's a lady that comes on there that really irks me. I'm gonna have to get her name. She's she's super mega. Just gets on my nerves all the time. And trying to Google what her show is called. Okay, so it's news night. CNN. News Night with Abby Phillip. And basically it's a round table of Republicans, Democrats, independents, and they all sit around and they talk about the topics, the issues, today's issues, what's going on, what's happening, and all that. And they have been talking about this post that the president of the United States did of former president Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, put their heads on the bodies of apes. And you don't know, and you're listening, Michelle and Barack Obama, but I'm pretty sure there's nobody on the planet that doesn't know that our former president before Joe Biden was Barack Obama. He was a black man. First black man to be president of the United States, unless you count Lincoln. I think he may have had some black in him. But anyway, and Bill Clinton, he was the blackest white dude I know. But so he posted on his page, whatever, Trump Twitter, whatever the hell he posts on. Former president and his wife with their heads on the bodies of gorillas, apes, or whatever. And they tried to spin it and say it was a play on the Lion King, because they had him as an orange lion and all this, and it was supposed to be funny, hee hee, ha ha. But a lot of people have been coming out. And I've seen The Lion King. There are no apes in The Lion King. I think it's just a one monkey, a baboon or something. I don't know. But The Lion King doesn't have any apes. There's no apes, there's no gorillas, to my knowledge, unless there's something that I don't know. Maybe I didn't see them. Maybe they was hiding in the back in the cut or whatever. So he tried to spin it that way first. And then they tried to come up with just a slew of excuses that he didn't see it anyway, and he didn't know it was there, but it was up there for 12 hours. It was posted for 12 hours, and he uh didn't take it down. And then they tried to say a staff member did it. It was that staff member's page, and he didn't know anything about it, but still no, it stayed up there for 12 hours. And meanwhile, there was a lot of other posts coming up. He was posting a lot of other stuff before this. So you can't say he didn't see it. Oh, was that the staff worker too as well posting all this? Yeah, possible, but I doubt it. I think they're lying. I think he's lying. And the sad part about it is when they asked him, does he think he should apologize? He said, No, I didn't do anything wrong. I thought about that for a minute. So he didn't do anything wrong, or he didn't make a mistake or something, were his was his words. And so I think it was I didn't make a mistake. And so I thought about that. And if you feel that way, you didn't make you didn't make a mistake. So that says you really feel that way about the former president and his wife. You know, he is trying to spin it to where he's saying, I didn't put it out there, it wasn't my mistake to own, so I shouldn't apologize. But you are the president of the United States. That is your page. You are responsible for that page. You are responsible for the content on that page. So if somebody in your cabinet, in your whatever, posted something that you don't agree with, number one, that person should be fired. Number two, you should apologize. And he did none of that. So, you know, he just deflected, made more excuses. And my thing is, low-key, I feel like this is uh all of this stuff that he's doing, the Epstein files, all that, you know, yeah, we want to get to the bottom of that too. But I mean, are we really gonna see any of that? Because they redacted so much and they had their hands on it, so a lot of stuff's probably been deleted and pulled out of there. So that doesn't even matter anymore. But it's a great distraction from what's really happening. When's the last time anybody talked about Ukraine? They still over there getting bombed. Pretty soon Russia will probably have all of Ukraine, and it'll be like, oh, well, nothing we can do about it now. Oh, wow, we we missed it. Oh, shoot. And then that's more than likely what he wants to help his friend Putin get more land because he keeps talking about Greenland and all this, and he everybody knows he wants to be like Vladimir Putin, president of Russia. So none of this surprises me. Him being a racist and not caring about that, so none of that surprises me. The post, not one to apologize or any of that. I am not shocked. I am not surprised. What I'm surprised at is that people are surprised. You know, and like I would like to know. I really wish I could get one of the coons that voted for him. And yes, I'm calling every single person of color that voted for him your coon, because he didn't he didn't hide who he was before you voted for him. He told you who he was, and you still voted for him for whatever reason, because I guess you preferred to be the house pet than the the uh the field nigga. So kudos to you, and how do you feel now? You know, I would really love to know how those people that voted for him, how they feel now. Because he didn't live up to his promises. He's showing you who he is. He never had any intention on doing anything for you, but you're running out voting. I heard a lot of uh black people online and talking about, oh, Trump keep it real. Well, how's that real coming? You know, that's the dumbest shit that I have ever heard in my life to say about a racist. Oh, he keeps it real. Are you fucking stupid? Yeah, I like to see my racism coming. I like to see who my racists are. But at the same time, am I gonna put him in office, the highest position in our country? Hell no. Because I know what he's about. So, yeah, so when he started instituting laws and rules to put your ass back in chains, or you're gonna be applauding him, well, at least he keeps it real. I'm a slave again. Miss me with all that shit because I mean, it's just stupidity. I, you know, I just can't, I just can't. I get a little bit upset when I think about it, you know. I because in my mind, I don't see how anybody who has any kind of decency can vote for him. You know, a lot of people say that, oh, he was good for me financially, so that's great, you know, and I can't knock you if you care about your finances more than you care about humanity and, you know, people out here, but there's no way in hell with the amount of non-black or brown friends that I have, there's no way I would vote for a black guy who was racist towards my, towards white Americans or any other non-brown colored people in this country. I wouldn't vote for him. I don't care how good his policy was or whatever, because I have friends that people that I consider my friends, that I wouldn't want what he was representing to impact them. So I wouldn't vote for him. But a lot of people didn't do that. They still say they're y'all friends, black people, but they voted for him because of this or because of that. So I'm just saying, run a check on your uh friends list and just see because I posted on my Facebook page if you're okay with the post that the POTIS put out against the former president. Unfriend me. You know, if you're sitting at your house, you're like, I don't see the problem in that. Unfriend me because you are not my friend if you don't see a problem with that. And I'm tired of everybody trying to justify what he does or why I voted for him, this is something that you can't straddle the fence on to me. You either in or you out with this dude. I don't care what he's doing in your pocket, because I feel like this. If a dude came to me right now, if if it was a black guy that was that racist and he was talking about how he's gonna do everything, the Jewish people, or how he's putting posts about white people are negative, and you know what I'm saying, or how they don't season their damn food, or this and that, you know, just being straight racist, whatever the case may be. And he came to me and said, hey, I'll give you$10 million if you go out and just start rallying to vote for me, you know, be that face, you know, show all the people that I'm the right choice, I would have to turn that down. Now,$10 million is a lot of money. A lot of money that I don't have. But I could not do that to people that I consider. If I didn't, if I felt, I just don't have those views. If I had the same views as this guy, then I would. And that is how I look at it, you know. And I know a lot of people who I know probably, no, I don't feel that way about him, but it's a hard sale to me. You voting for somebody who feels that way about it because, you know, you can't just be complacent because he's doing things that are gonna impact me. When he first got in office, there was a lot of, it was an uptick in blacks being killed by police because of his racism. Now he's got ice doing what the police were doing because of his discriminatory practices. And my problem with this country is nothing ever gets done or said about it until it starts spilling over into the suburbs. When it starts impacting white people, that's when it starts getting, you know, oh, wait a minute now. So he, you know, the two of the people that were killed so far or the latest, the latest people were a white male and a white female. And now they are talking about getting ice out of Minnesota, you know, talking about this, you know, it I'm just tired of it. The same thing happened with the crack epidemic. Nobody cared about the cracks, crack being big because it was a lot of black mothers smoking it. And black men, and it just hadn't hit their communities. But when the opioid pandemic hit the community, you know, it was it was everywhere. It was everywhere. And I'm not saying that that, you know, it happens because you had dare and all that to keep people off drugs, you know, it was some stuff out there, but it just didn't hit as hard until it hits home. And I'm not saying this is a negative thing about non-blacks, browns, you know, about white people, because I would probably do the same thing. If it wasn't impacting my neighborhood, I wouldn't do it, do anything about it either. So I'm not saying it as a knock, I'm just saying I'm tired of it. It's got to stop on both sides. You know what I'm saying? Because, you know, it's a hard sale. Hey, Mike, come out to the, you know, when I was a younger man, I was living in the city or whatever, the urban areas, it would have been a hard sale for me to put one of my friends to be like, hey, come out here to the suburbs with me in March against uh prescription drugs, our kids are out here taking it or whatever. I'd be like, okay. You know, because it wasn't impacting me. So I'm not knocking or saying anything bad about that. That's just human nature, or that's just, you know, but we got to get out of that, is what I'm saying. We gotta, we gotta care about the majority, you know, if we want it, because it's eventually gonna spill over. Just like the crack epidemic, it eventually spilled over into their communities in the form of meth. And now that crap's everywhere. Now you got uh fentanyl or whatever. So, but I can't go further without saying this. Some Republicans did come out and denounce what Donald Trump hosted. And I applaud them for that. I don't have a list of the names, but it was quite a few. And hoping that they're getting tired of his nonsense because I've already said it before numerous times on this show. I'm not a Republican and I'm not a Democrat. I am an independent. And I've liked Republican candidates, I have liked Democrat candidates, I have liked independent candidates that weren't totally nuts. So I, you know, my vote, I'm one of those people when they say, oh, it's gonna come down to the independent vote. I am one of those people who are always undecided up until I've seen Dana every single debate, and I watch and I listen, and I'm like, okay, I'm gonna make my decision after that last debate. So that's me. So I have to give them kudos, and I really wish the Republican Party would take their damn party back. Take your party back from this asshead. The dude is a clown and he is destroying your party. Take it back. I think the party system is detrimental to America, but I don't know. I have no idea what would replace it. So it's what we have right now, and we gotta make it work. And this dude is counterproductive to everything that worked about the Republican Party. He's counterproductive to it all. You know, he's gonna cost you guys the midterm elections unless he finds a way to have only his people count the votes, and then I'm sure the people that he wants to win will win. But as the way things are going right now, you're gonna have people coming out in droves. And I kind of like the uh the campaign the Democrats are running right now. Don't come out and vote just because you want to, you know, stick it to Trump and show them, come out and vote because you want to see the Democrats make some changes. And they are saying that they can and they will. So go out and vote. But just very sickening. I'm just really tired of it, man. I'm tired of division in the United States. I mean, it's it's just sad that we are the country that we are with all of the technology and the, you know, everything we have access to, and we still just so fucking backwards when it comes to race relations. I I went to Spain, ran with the Bulls, myself and Boss G, one of the other members of our podcast with, who's in the Super Bowl, who's at the Super Bowl right now. He ain't playing anybody there. But we went to uh Spain and I mean, just a totally different atmosphere and type of people there, you know, and a lot of times we were. It weren't that many blacks there where we were, but none of those people cared. You know, they were talking to us, engaging the ones that spoke English, they were talking, they were engaging with us. I mean, it was just like, and I'm like, and I told him while we were there. I'm like, man, can you imagine if we were in Mississippi or somewhere down south in the United States, we would not be getting received this well. And you can say what you want, yeah, maybe it's about the tax dollars, tourists, but that country didn't need our tourist dollars. We were only two people. And they just didn't care. You know, uh, they had the mindset of, you know, they human beings and they money spent just like anybody else's. So, hey, welcome to Pamplona. And I just think that, you know, I don't understand why, you know, with all the technology that we have, I watch these, uh, my new thing now is I watch these documentaries on YouTube about other countries and like the underbelly, the toughest, roughest games, the worst neighborhoods and all these countries. And I watched one on Cuba, a couple of places in Africa, and I'm seeing how bad these neighborhoods are. I'm thinking to myself, dang, people still living like this with the technology that we have today. And you got all these places and these people that are still, you know, kind of third world. And it's sad. And I look at America, yeah, we we top of the industry are close to it when it comes to technology, but our mindset and our people relations is third world. It is just sad that we, you know, I mean, we're not doing it over religion. Like you take countries like Iran or whatever, whoever, they're doing it over religion, but we're doing it over color, still. Still. In this day and age, what is it, 2026? And we are still at a place where there's so much hate. And I heard somebody say once that it's it's fear, that the white man is afraid of losing his status or whatever, of being the top dog or whatever it is. And the sad part about that is that if you talk to most uh black people, and I know how I feel, we are not looking to do to you what you did to us. We just want you to leave us alone and stop doing to us what you have been doing to us. That's it. Just leave us the hell alone. Stop doing what you've been doing, trying to, you know, keep things separated and divided. And they'll be the first ones to say that. Oh, you guys always big at the race court, always dividing things. But if somebody's posting pictures like that, especially our president, you watch an episode of cops where white guy spits, kicks, fights, punches at the cop, and still gets arrested, just gets tased and taken down to the police station, or black guy gets pulled over and acts that he starts walking away from the cop and gets shot. Tell me where that is fair. Or, you know, how could we not say something about that? I don't know. You know what I'm saying? Somebody's gotta, you know, I mean, it's not pulling a race card or this or that. It's just facts. It's just what we see and what happens. You know what I'm saying? I don't I don't know too many of my white Caucasian friends that weary about their child being shot every time he leaves the house. I have a son who's in his mid to late 20s. He's extremely dark-skinned, and are weary. He's been pulled over a few times, they target him now because he got pulled over a few times, and they sit right outside his neighborhood and they target him, and it's like, come on, man. Why? You know, and I have this fear. Every time my child leaves to go to work, you know, and he's just trying to live his life. He's just trying to be a kid and have a job and do something with himself, and they make it hard. But anyway, I'm not gonna solve all that in one podcast. So looks like this game's about to get going. So I am going to enjoy the game. You guys enjoy your Sunday. If you're watching the Super Bowl, root for your team. Let's go, Seahawks. Check us out. Uh, this Monday, I'm gonna post. It's not gonna be this podcast. So you'll hear about this one. You'll hear this one next Monday. It'll be late, but somebody will have one. It'll probably be the Seahawks. But you guys have a great week. Check out the website, thefreeagentfans.com. If you scroll down to the bottom of that first page, you can send us a message.
